Vietti's Barolo "Lazzarito" is a wine of extraordinary richness and complexity, born from fifty-year-old vineyards of the Lazzarito di Serralunga cru, aged for 26 months in barriques and large barrels. Wild berry jam, leather and citrus peel emerge with intensity from a consistent, fresh and very elegant texture.

The Barolo "Lazzarito" wine is one of the different expressions with which the Vietti winery likes to decline one of the most important DOCGs at a regional level, that of Barolo. Not an easy task when you can have different plots within the most suitable crus of the area, but which Vietti completes with his usual elegance, managing to trace the characteristics of each single parcel with fidelity. The "Lazzarito" is a vigorous and vigorous red, with an indomitable soul, which runs on a progression in which the tannin dominates, refined by the perfumes on the nose, persuasive and sly as never before. A gem not to be missed for anything in the world.

Barolo "Lazzarito" comes from 100% grapes of a great native Piedmontese red berried Nebbiolo, cultivated by the Vietti winery team within the Lazzarito cru of the same name, located near Serralunga d'Alba. The vines grown here have an average age of about 50 years, and are rooted in a terroir composed mainly of limestone and clay. The grapes, once selected during the harvest, ferment for about 4 weeks in stainless steel tanks, remaining in contact with the skins. The malolactic fermentation takes place in wood. The wine continues its journey by refining for 26 months in barriques and large barrels, before being bottled and marketed.
